Nemcha inspects Government Ideal Blind School

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, June 12, 2018 :As assured for better and up-to-date infrastructures during the last visit, social welfare minister NemchaKipgen today inspected the newly renovated infrastructural development of the Government Ideal Blind School and directorate of social welfare buildings. The retrofitting work of the social welfare building was taken up to provide easy access to differently-abled persons.

Nemcha expressed contentment on witnessing the improved condition of the school campus and social welfare office building.

She said there are still some loopholes to look into and take action; for this, cooperation from the concerned officials are required to bring it to her notice.

Nemcha interacted with the students of the school and encouraged them to give their best in their academics as well as in co-curricular activities and not to hesitate to raise their concerns and grievances, if there is any. She also advised the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school to cooperate with the students and deliver the best for them.

Nemcha encouraged the officials to extend selfless and untiring service to people as the department through its various schemes is intertwined with person’s entire life cycle.

On this occasion, Nemcha along with secretary and director, social welfare Jacintha Lazarusalso planted saplings at the campus of the school, observation and Special Home for Juvenile and Directorate of Social Welfare to mark the World Environment Day and encouraged the students, staffs and officials to instil the habit of planting and nurturing plants for a clean and safe environment.
