Adult literacy centre launched

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, June 23, 2018: Education minister Thokchom Radheshyam today inaugurated Adult Literacy Centre and handed over a Public Play Ground at Kwarok Maring village.

Radheshyam said the inauguration of the Adult Literacy Centre is a step to empowering the womenfolk by providing education and certain training programmes.

The minister stressed that woman is the symbol of love and affection and urged them to use the centre to impart the same to bring unity and progress in the society without any differences.

He said all possible help will be extended for the development of the village. He asked the women of the village to establish a self help group so that they could become financially independent. The centre has been constructed under MLA local area development fund.
