Pothashang News Service: Imphal, July 9, 2018: MUTA representatives met chief minister N. Biren Singh this evening on the varsity impasse. The chief minister told the teachers that an enquiry over the vice-chancellor is needed to prove his guilt.
The teachers told him that the enquiry is no more required as the irregularities of the vice-chancellor are known in open. He is no more fit to be for the respected post.
While the university community is heading for a solution to the stalemate of the varsity Pandey relaxes at his official resident and keep touching with the central leaders for his safety.
The vice-chancellor being a BJP man, the ouster of the vice-chancellor may affect the Biren Singh government, said secretary of MUTA, L. Shanjukumar.
In order to control the movement of the university community the government may attempt to cease the varsity. But we will re-launch our agitation when it is reopened, he added.
