Drug dealers in police custody

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, July 1, 20181: A team of Sinjamei Polise Station yesterday arrested one person namely V. Pandian Dever ,47, son of P. Vellinsamy Dever of Vasudevanallur PS Puliangudi, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.

According to a press statement released today by W. Basu Sihgh) MPS, superintendent of Police/NAB
Vellinsamy is at present residing at Moreh ward No.4 district-Tengnoupal from M.I. Academy Langhabal Kunja Mamang Leikai, Imphal along NH2 for illegal possession of 2000 WY (Amphetamine) tablets and other incriminating articles were also seized from his possession.
A case has been registered at Singjamei Police Station and investigation is going on.

In another move a team of Narcotic and Affairs of Border (NAB) Manipur arrested two persons namely.

The arrested persons are  Nurul Hoque Barbhuiya, 54, son of late Alauddin Barbhuiya of Pakujapunji Bhaibanti PS. Katlicherra sub-division Hallakandi district, Assam and Akbar Hussain Mazumdar, 28, son of late Abdul Kayum Mazumdar of Bidrohipar Hatikal, PO- Hatikal, PS-Kochidaram/Sonai, Silchar, Assam from NH-39 at Khamarun erossing, Imphal west for illegal possession of 350.4 grams of Heroin powder.

Accordingly the Heroin powder and other incriminating articles were seized from their possession. A case has been registered at NAB Police Station and investigation is going on, added the release.
