Road mishap kills three and one injured

Pothashang News Service : Imphal, August 24, 2018: Four persons meet brutal car accident yesterday night at Changangei Makha Leikai where three of them died and one is admitted at Raj Medicity under critical condition.
The deceased have been identified as one Thokchom Premjit alias Boicha Singh, 29, and Kangabam Bony Singh,23, of Changangei Ucheckon, and Sagolsem Rakesh Meitei,25, of Mayang Imphal Maibam Thongkhong.
Laishram Santosh Singh, 27 of Bishnupur ward number 10 is admitted at Raj Medicity, ICU under critical condition.
It is said that the accident occured when they were returning to their home. The four of them were returning in a Hyundai Santro car and hit a cement loaded truck that was parked by the median of the western side of Tiddim road.
Santosh, Rakesh and Premjit work at Supra Workshop, Changangei Ucheckon as mechanics and Bony is also a mechanic of Mahindra Showroom. The car was driven by Santosh. They were brought to RIMS causality but three of them were declared dead by the hospital authority. As the condition of Santosh was critical he was referred to Raj Medicity for further treatment.
It is said that the truck was parked as it was out of order. It may be mentioned that the eastern side of the Tiddim road have been blocking as the construction of Imphal International Airport is under process. Since then there is road diversion and people are using only the western side of the road.
Some of the eye witness said before the car hit the truck, one person who came on a scooter identified as one Soibam Rajesh, 22, of Malom Tulihal Makha Lekai hit the same truck.
Rajesh got injury on both his eyes and some parts of his body.
Santosh got injury on his head, chest and his arms and to bring him into stable he is still in ICU.
