MUSU resumes agitation on Thursday
Pothashang News Service: Imphal, September 5, 2018: Manipur University Students’ Union (MUSU) has declared to resume its agitation from Thursday against vice-chancellor Adya Prasad Pandey.
The varsity community suspended its strike that was launched on May 30 after an agreement was signed between the varsity community and the state government and Central to probe into the allegation against Pandey by an independent Inquiry committee.
MUSU general secretary Laishram Kennedy today claimed that Pandey and self proclaimed registrar (in charge) M. Shyamkesho are ‘mental retarded persons’ and they are ‘anti-Manipur’.
He said it is very unfortunate that chief minister, N. Biren and other authorities are unable to speak against Pandey though he spoke against the agreement which was signed on August 16.
MUSU asked the chief minister and his council of ministers and the officials present in the signing of the agreement to resign from their seats and posts as they are unfit to be leaders.
The students’ body appealed to the CSOs others student bodies and the general public to take up necessaries action against Pandey and Shyamkesho for their unwanted attitudes kept towards the people of the state.
