Second review meeting of the vigilance and anti corruption held

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, October, 18, 2018: The second review meeting of the vigilance and anti corruption department, was held today at the conference hall of old secretariat Imphal. Chief secretary who is also the chief vigilance commissioner, state vigilance commission Dr. J Suresh Babu chaired the review meeting.

Pending cases and causes of the same, training of staff, non-submission and non appearance of action taken report by the concerned departments in respect of action recommended by the commission were the main topics that discussed in today’s meeting.

Suresh Babu stated to concerned officers for taking up necessary instructions to all departments in pertain to non furnishing of required documents for cases investigated by the Vigilance Department. He also expressed desire for keeping a dedicated mobile number (not land line number) for complaints and grievances since vigilance and anti corruption department staff do not sit in office for 24 hours like police department.

Director L. Bikram Singh; SP H. Balram Singh and  around 25 officers  including additional SP, DSP, Inspectors and SIs of the vigilance and anti corruption department attended in today’s review meeting.
