Bomb exploded in Kangpokpi

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, October 19, 2018: A powerful bomb exploded at around 1 am today near Kangpokpi Post Office at Kangpokpi Bazaar under the jurisdiction of Kangpokpi Police station in Kangpokpi district.

In the bomb explosion a car belong to Kangpokpi ADC Haokholal Hanging daughter identified as Phalpichong Hanging was damaged.

Apart from the car damage, nearby buildings and shops were also damaged, however no human casualty was reported in the explosion.

Police had begun an investigation in connection with the blast.

The blast occurred ahead of the chief Minister N. Biren Singh scheduled visit to lay foundation stone for construction of a women’s market and a transit accommodation for doctors and teachers near Kangpokpi Bazaar today.
