History teachers’ exam rescheduled following ‘disruption’

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, November 11, 2018: The examination for history subject teachers has been postponed following ‘disruption’ of the exam by Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society members soon after the commencement of the exam at Ananda Singh Higher Secondary Academy.

Written examination of the History subject was rescheduled on November 13 at the same venue at 3 pm, said a press statement released today by director, education (schools) Th. Kirankumar.

Written examination for appointment of higher secondary school lecturers on contract basis for 13 subjects was successfully held at 11 examination centres in Imphal West and Imphal East, said the statement.

It also informed that education department has uploaded “General Instructions to Candidates”   in its website on November 8 to facilitate dissemination of instructions and guidelines to all concerned in general and the candidates in particular. This particular information was widely circulated in social media and has served the purpose of sensitisation of the candidates and the public about the procedure for taking the test. “However it should not be taken there was question leakage” added the statement.
