Solo cycle rally to save Sangai flagged off

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, November 12, 2018: A solo cycle rally carrying the message “Save Sangai Ride for Changes” was today flagged off by Manipur titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba at Palace Compound, Imphal.

The cycle rally that took off by Jacky Phuritsabam targets to cover all Manipur districts.

Leishamba told reporters that there is need to promote and know the value of Sangai, the one any only rare deer species found only in the state.

He appealed the people of the state to encourage the solo cycle rider Jacky who will be riding in across the state spreading the message to save Sangai deer.

Jacky said that the decision to organise the rally came after he came across information of killing the Sangai deer. He also expressed disappointment for not extending support to him when he approached them for the cycle rally.
