World is Yours worth about Rs 30 lakh seized from a woman

During a routine check today, the team of Tengnoupal battalion spotted a suspicious woman moving in an auto rickshaw along with two pillows. The suspected woman was stopped at Permanent Vehicle Check Post, Khudengthabi by the Mahila Riflemen of Tengnoupal Battalion and was thoroughly checked.

During the checking and frisking of the woman and pillows, 9960 WIY tablets (50 packets) worth approximately Rs. 29.88 lakhs were recovered concealed inside the pillows, a press statement by Assam Rifles.

On questioning, the lady identified herself as Nemneilhing Baite, 37, wife of Jamkholum Baite, of Cananphai, Tengnoupal. The apprehendee alongwith the contrabands was handed over to NAB Imphal, the source.
