“Ride to Myanmar” bike tour flagged off

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, November 25, 2018: An expedition team for the 10 days motorcycle tour “Ride to Myanmar” was today flagged off this morning from hotel Imphal by Manipur works minister Thongam Biswajit Singh.
The expedition tour is organised by ‘Pack the Bag’, with an aim to promote tourism and cultural Integration and is participated by eight bikers from Nagaland, Nepl, Pune, Assam and Punjab.
The bikers will pass through Kalaymyo, Monyna, Mandalay, Inle Lake , Ragan ,Yangon.
Biswajit said this is an encouraging event taken up while the international Sangai festival is being organised to promote the tourism in the state.
He said the expedition tour will further strengthen the emotional and cultural integration as it is participated by eight bikers across the country.
“India cannot be called a developed country without development of the North East,” said the minister. He also appealed the bikers that should carry the message of love and affection back home.
According to the organiser the tour was launched to promote tourism in Manipur so that bikers here can become tourist guides as well as lend bikes tourist in Manipur and north east India.
