ICAR transfers technologies for commercialisation of ‘Bay leaf beverages technologies

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, November 27, 2018: Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre today signed a memorandum of understanding with Divine Enterprise, Sangaiprou, Imphal at the office chamber of the joint director, ICAR for popularisation and commercialisation of ‘Bay leaf beverages technologies’.

The technology has been developed by Dr. M. R. Sahoo, senior scientist (horticulture), Dr. A. Kuna, senior scientist, PJTSAU, Hyderabad, M. Premi Devi, JRF, DBT Twinning Project, M. Sowmya, JRF, DBT Twinning Project, Dr. M. Dasgupta, DST WOS A, Dr. S. S. Roy, senior scientist (horticulture), M. Sreedhar, PS and Head, PJTSAU, Hyderabad and Dr. N. Prakash, director, under the DBT Twinning project entitled “Nutraceutical properties of underutilised fruits and vegetables in NEH Region of India”.

The young start up entrepreneur Mr. S. Bidyanidhi and his co- founder of Divine enterprises Mr. S. Birendra Singh has extended their gratitude to ICAR for transferring of the technology for greater benefit of the consumers. The beverage with indigenous raw materials would be beneficial for the consumers across the country, said director Prakash.
