Differently abled body resolves to fight for rights

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, December 12, 2018: Disabled Development Association Manipur (DDAM) has resolved to struggle for complete implementation of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
The resolution was taken during a meeting held today at DDAM office. It decided to create awareness among people in the state regarding the rights of differently abled people.
The meeting was chaired by advisors of DDAM Y. Kiran Singh, Md. Wahajuddin and Th. Chandramani Singh.
DDAM also resolved to continue its Skill Development Training on Kouna (water reed) craft, cricket coaching camp for Locomotore Disabled persons as well as participation of tournaments to be held at national level, to help, support and encourage financially and physically to those differently abled persons who still did not get any kind of support from the government side.
The meeting also resolved to give full support to the memorandum submitted to the state government and concern department by State Platform of Disabled People’s Organisations (SPDPO), Manipur for the welfare of the differently abled persons.
