SBI manger jailed for killing youth

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, January 1, 2019: State Bank of India (SBI), Leimakhong branch manager Ch. Budhachandra has been remanded to 15-day judicial custody by the chief judicial magistrate, Imphal West for allegedly killing a 22-year old Salam Prakash with his license gun following a heated exchange.
People of Changangei Uchekon have been demanding to punish the culprit.
The bank manager shot the victim to death using his licensed gun on December 25 evening at Uripok Naoremthong, Imphal West over a quarrel while crossing Naoremthong bridge in their cars.
The accused was produced before the court with a prayer to remand the accused to judicial custody for further investigation of the case.
Irate family members of the victim along with the women folks of Changangei Uchekon thronged at outside of the court room during his appearance. They also tried to attack the bank manager which was defended by the police.
