Vice-president of NEIDP Sapam Kunjakeswor Singh said once the bill becomes a law the people of the North East will become minority. Despite of political difference we all need to fight together, he added.
He said the bill was passed in haste yesterday in Lok Sabha and it will take the future or Manipur to dark. We should act together before the bill becomes a law and threatens the indigenous populace of Manipur.
Manipur People’s Party (MPP) president Oinam Jugindro in a news conference said, “The attempt to pass the controversial bill is to separate the North East from the Indian Union. If the voice of the people is not listened we will demand pre-merger status of Manipur.”
