150 acre plantation destroyed

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, January 14, 2019: Poppy plantation of about 150 acres which would yield 1500kg of opium was destroyed during the poppy destruction drive at Changshang village, Kangpokpi district today.

The destruction of the poppy plants was conducted by a joint team of NAB, NCB, Imphal East district police, Kangpokpi district police, 7 MR, forest department and SDC Kangpokpi led by ASP, NAB.

A total of about 300 personnel including women police participated in the poppy destruction drive.
