Women vendor cards turnout to be ‘Fake’

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, January 25, 2019: Members of Khwairamband Keithel Street Vendor Welfare Union (KKSVWU) complains that their vendor cards appeared to be fake cards.
It came to light when the vendors went to Imphal Municipal Corporation to pay tax.
The authorities told us that the cards were fake ones, president of KKSVWU L. Beda told reporters at Manipur Press Club hall.
She said the vendors vending at the Temporary market were cheated by Oinam Milan, chairman of Kanglei Apunba Singpang Lup. He took Rs 30,000 in the name of providing vendor cards to 330 vendors.
The RO of IMC Ksh, Gyanendro Singh nominated Milan to deal with the matters to get proper vending license.
The vendors appealed the authority to look into the matters facing by them and arrest the absconded Milan who cheated the vendors by assuring to give vendors cards.
They appealed to settle for their livelihood means at the market centre.
