Six arrested

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 12, 2019: As part of preventive measures taken up in connection with the ensuing Lok Sabha election a police team of Thoubal district comprising of Lilong Police Station team and Thoubal Commando under the supervision  superintendent of police Dr. S. Ibomcha Singh arrested six persons yesterday night.

They were identified as Md. Firosh Khan, 23 son of  Md. Fajuruddin of Paobitek Mamang Leikai, Md. Akha, 30, son of (L) Jalauddin of Paobitek Mamang Leikai,  Md. Nazir Ahamed, 30 son of Md. Tomba of Paobitek Mamang Leikai, Md. Anish Khan, 24, son of Md. Ayub Khan of Paobitek Mamang Leikai, Md. Nawaj Khan, 22 son of (L) Md. Abdur Rahim of Lilong Tairen Makhong and Radhakishore Wahengbam, 36, son of Wahengbam Bhaskar of Nongmeibung Chakpram Leikai.

The first fuve were arrested from following persons from Lilong Chingkham IVR road while the last was arrested from his residence.

Police seized 9800 numbers of WY tablets, one Alto Car MN 06 LA 7132 and one Honda Dio MN 01AE 6447

One more person involved in the case namely Laishram Sanjoy Singh son of (L) L. Yaima Singh of Luker Maning Leikai, is absconding and efforts are being made to arrest him. A case has been registered at Lilong Police station, the source said.
