“BEACH BODY” winner Vikas Usham felicitated

Pothashang News Serviced: Imphal, March 27, 2019: The “Beach Body” title winner in male category, Mr. Vikas Usham of Hararou Awang Leikai in Imphal East district was felicitated today. The felicitation program was organised by Youth Modern Club, Haraorou at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul, Imphal.

Mr. Vikas Usham won the prestigious title of “BEACH Body” in male category at the Body Power Beach Body Carnival, 2019 held for the first time in India at Goa on 16th March 2019.

Speaking to media persons, Mr. Vikas Usham said he had participated at various fitness and body building competition held outside the state as he is pursuing his degrees outside Manipur. His family members did not like the idea of body building as a sports and he didn’t even had a coach to train him nor went to any gym while he was here in the state, he added.

Appreciating Youth Modern Club, Haraorou for recognizing his achievements, Vikas said, he would try his best to represent Manipur in body building or fitness competitions.

Advisor of Youth Modern Club, Haraorou Mr. N. Dijen said, they were amazed to see their local boy Vikas winning such title. The Youth Modern Club, Haraorou had no idea that Vikas would be taking part in such competition as the local had not witness him ever entering or training at any gym, he added. The felicitation program is a small initiative by Youth Modern Club, Haraorou to encourage Vikas and also wish him success for future events, he further added.

The event held at Goa was conducted by India’s fitness icon Sahil Khan where Sahil Khan and Sam Khan collaborated with a UK based fitness business Body Power run by Nick Orton. Mr. Ayan Roy Choudhury won the trophy of Muscle Beah, Mr. Vikas Usham won the trophy of Beach Body in Male category and Marita Roy won the trophy of Beach Body in Female category. More than 1500 athletes took part in the event.

All the three winners get paid trip to Dubai for 3 nights and 4 days sponsored by Cloud Aviation (the travel partner of the event, article in world’s leading fitness magazine “Muscle & Fitness” and “Muscle & Fitness – Hers” and Samsung A50 Smartphones.
