Sit-in-protest against custodial death of Manjur

The two organisations demanded dismissal and other befitting punishments to the police personnel involved in the killing of Manjur Ahmed. It appeals to the State Government to take proper actions so that such incidents never happen again and also demanded handing over the case to CBI. ICDF and UBCT endorsed decisions taken by the JAC against the killing of SM Manjur Ahmed, presidents of the two organisations added.

It may be mentioned that SM Manjur Ahmed, son of (L) Mv. Basir Ahmed from Yairipok Ningthoumanai was arrested on 27^th March 2019 after the escape of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) Nando group Commander Thokchom Nando from JNIMS Hospital on 26^th March, 2019.
