ABVP denounces over school arson

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 27, 2019: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has strongly condemned ‘barbaric act’ at Schools in Manipur.

In a press statement released today state secretary, ABVP, Sharatchandra Haobijam said nowadays, in Manipur, schools have become a battleground. The day after the unwanted incident of planting bomb at Little flower school, Imphal, which is one of the best schools of the state, some unknown miscreants burnt down St. Joshep Higher Secondary School at Sugnu. “ABVP Manipur is deeply saddened and shocked to learn about the arsan at St. Joshep School on the fateful night of April 25 by some unknown miscreants. Threatening the schools should be stopped at once for the safety of teachers and students,” it added.

The incident is anti-society and act as a threat to the young students who are the future pillar of the society. Educational institutions are a
sacred place and they are the temple of learning. Schools are the place for learning, development and success. Education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world. ABVP Manipur has some serious concerns on the matter and stands on the side of school authority. The concerned government bodies should look upon the matter as soon as possible and book the culprit at the earliest. Those involved in the barbaric act should be dealed sternly and exemplary punishment should be given as per law. The state government authority should investigate into the matter and help in bringing justice to the pursuing students of the school, the statement said.
