Mapithel Dam – Remaining two missing bodies recovered at Chadong

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, May 3, 2019: Two remaining bodies out of three bodies that went missing since April 28 when two boats were capsized at the Chadong village tourist site in Ukhrul during a storm have been recovered today.

The bodies recovered today were that of Ningthoujam Rani, 19, daughter of N. Nanao and of Sagatpam Romen, 29, son of S. Ibochou, all from Ningthoukhong Kha Khunou, Bishnupur district.

They were recovered this morning after the body of Sagatpam Rajiv, 35, was recovered yesterday. Rajiv and Romen are brothers.

Teams of Indian Navy, National Disaster Response Force, State Disaster Response Force, Manipur Fire Service, Indian Red Cross Society and the locals have been collectively tracing for the trio.
