Anal fishing festival “Dauthun” celebrated

Pothashang News Service: Imphal 5, 2019: Anal tribe celebrated customary fishing festival “Dauthun”. The festival was organised by Anal Khullen Vuncho Committee. The fishing festival was celebrated at Ngateeng Para area of Chakpi River.

Chiefs of Anal Khullen and Anal Khunougi Mr. H.L. Thungdil and Mr. P.S. Prakash said that the fishing festival is practiced by Anal tribes since time immemorial.

Anals inhabited in different parts of the state come to Chakpi River to participate in the festival.
