Ultimatum to ban government vehicles

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, June 10, 2019: Maphou Dam Road Ching-Tam Action Committee has served an ultimatum to chief minister N. Biren Singh to start repairing the dam road by June 13.
The committee cautioned that government vehicles will not be allowed to pass the road if the government fails to take up repairing works as per the deadline saying that people of the dam area will start repairing the road.
A memorandum containing the ultimatum was submitted today to the chief minister.
It drew the attention of the chief minister that “We the public of this area were so happy when you announce the package of repairing Maphou Dam Road on the Inauguration day of Moirangpurel Primary Health Centre. But the repairing work is still incomplete causing inconvenience and suffering the public”.
To draw the chief minister’s attention, the acton committee had imposed bandh on this road from June 4 to 8. But there has been no positive response from the highly acclaimed government, mentioned in the memorandum.
Hence, the committe decided to serve the ultimatum to the state government.
