2000 civil service aspirants participate in IAS scholarship test

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, June 16, 2019: More than 2000 IAS aspirants participated in a mega scholarship exams conducted by Alternative Learning System (ALS) in association with Manipur government.

The exam aimed to select the Top 150 candidates to be sponsored under Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for Civil Services Aspirants.

Exams were conducted in Imphal East, Imphal West, Chandel, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, Senapati, Jiribam, Tamenglong and  Ukhrul districts under the supervision of deputy commissioners of each district along with the appointed nodal officers.

This scholarship exam has created an opportunity for 450 talented, needy and deserving IAS talents of Manipur to avail of 450 scholarship. Other than 150 candidates to be sponsored by Manipur government under Chief Ministers Scholarship Scheme for Civil Service Aspirants, 300 candidates are to be sponsored by ALS under CSR initiative for Youth of Manipur.

The results of the exam will be generated on June 23 and selected students will be trained from July 1 by best IAS mentors from Delhi at 6 ALS Authorised Learning centers in Imphal, Churachandpur, Senapati, Motbung, Tamenglong and Ukhrul, said a press statement.
