AMHSDA Condemned Attack on Doctor on Duty, One day strike to stage

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, June 16, 2019: The All Manipur Health Services Doctors Association (AMHSDA) strongly condemned attacks on doctor in West Bengal. In a press statement issued by the Association condemned physical assault on Dr. Paribaha Mukherjee on 10^th June at NRS Medical College, Kolkata and the subsequent attacks on the Doctor’s Hostels with weapons.

The statement said that AMHSDA stands in support of their colleagues in West Bengal in view of their commitment towards safe and non-violent working environment for Doctors.

The AMHSDA extends support to the Indian Medical Associations for the country wide one day strike from 6 am of 17^th June till 6 am of 18th June 2019, which include OPDs/Routine OT except emergency and indoor services, the statement further added.

Showing solidarity to their colleagues who are facing violence, it urges all the Manipur Health Services Doctors across the state to join in the strike and said AMHSDA regrets the inconveniences caused to the patients and request to support them.
