The organisations in a press statement strongly condemn the “brutal”  killing of John Gangte by unknown miscreants on Saturday afternoon at Ngamkhai Veng, Moreh Ward No. 8.

The very fact that the incident occured at a spot where passers-by frequently use to walk to and fro indicates the evil intention of who ever individual or group is responsible. It only exposes the narrow-midedness and barbaric nature of the perpetrators of the crime. This inhuman act of cowardice by unknown miscreants is to be condemned by one and all as it serves no good, the statement said.

They expressed abhorrence to such anti-social elements who are keen to disturb the peaceful co-existence in Moreh and its surrounding areas’.
