Missing girl found lifeless

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, July 15, 2019: The missing girl who has been untraceable since July 12 was found lifeless  on Tuesdat at Iril River between Angom Leikai and Moiranpurel Sajeb in Imphal East.

Th. Babythoi Chanu, 12, daughter of Birjit Singh of Phaknung Awang Leikai, Imphal East was drawned along the river at about 12.08 pm. It was informed to the concern police station.

After the body was recovered by police personnel and on spot verification Thokchom Joychandra ,24, son of Thokchom Norendro who is the cousin brother of the deceased confirmed the body as Babythoi.

The deceased was reported as missing at Lamlai PS on July 13 by her father.

Mobile forensic unit came at the spot and concerned executive magistate has been informed for necessary procedures.
