Letpao said cultivation to a large area of the district was rendered unsuccessful due to water scarcity, but there will be no shortage of water and hence cultivation will be good this season. This is all because of the irrigation provided to over 1000 hectares of land provided by this dam, he added.

He thanked the PHED department for providing necessary pipes for ensuring irrigation to deserving areas, and also to the farmer associations of the district for their enthusiasm.
