Pothashang News Service: Imphal, August 19, 2019: The state government is making all possible efforts to arrests the culprits said Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh clarifying on the death a class VII girl student in Imphal.
The chief made his statement at the inaugural function of the Augmentation of Water Supply Scheme for Thoubal (Waithoupat), Thoubal district on Monday
The student was found death in the dormitory of the school boarding on July 18.
The joint action committee (JAC) formed in connection with the ‘mysterious’ death of the student, students, people and organisations have been agitating demanding ‘fair justice’.
The chief minister said the police has arrested all the suspected persons, autopsy was done twice with video coverage, and section 302 of IPC was later included in the case. The state government had requested the CBI to take over the case and for the time being, an independent Special Investigation Team was formed for the investigation of the case under his supervision and investigation is under process. He mentioned that the protestors, JAC, Meira Paibis etc. can access any documents and orders related to the case from the chief Minister’s secretariat.
