Biswajit inaugurates factory unit of Golden Trans Power Company at Tera Urak Industrial Estate, Bishnupur

Imphal, 16^th September, 2019 (DIPR): Textiles, Commerce and Industries Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh today inaugurated factory unit of the Golden Trans Power Company at Tera Urak Industrial Estate, Bishnupur in the presence of Chairman of Manipur Pollution Control Board, L.Radhakishor Singh and Managing Director Of Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited L.Priyokumar.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Biswajit stated that we must pave our own way towards development by utilizing available resources to transform our society. Lauding the proprietor of The Golden Trans Power Company, Minister suggested them to manufacture value products in standardized quality of export quality.

The Minister maintained that under Industrial policy, 30% of the company products will be bought by the State Government. He also asserted that maximum number of entrepreneurs will minimized unemployment problem in the State.

Minister Biswajit lauded the entrepreneurs for their successful ventures and initiatives taken up in different industrial estates of the State. Power Scenario has considerably improved in the State after the formation of the new Government, he added.

He encouraged entrepreneurs to come up with innovative ideas and also announced that best performing entrepreneur will be awarded for their efforts and contribution.

Addressing the gathering, Managing Director of MSPDCL, L. Priyokumar Singh stated that at present, 20 numbers of transformers of MSPDCL is being repaired at the Golden Trans Power Company, as the repairing unit of MSPDCL is not able to meet the demands. Out of which 17 numbers of transformers has been repaired without compromising on the quality. He also encouraged the entrepreneurs to follow the footsteps of the Golden Trans power Company.

It may mentioned that the Golden Trans Power Company was set up in 2018 for developing industrial growth in the State of Manipur and the company is manufacturing electric  cables and transformers and they are targeting to cater the requirement of the Government of Manipur along with North East Region and the nation as whole.

The inaugural functions were attended by officials of MSPDCL, members of All Manipur Entrepreneur Associations among others.(DIPR)
