AR organises security meet

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, September 26, 2019: Mantripukhri Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised a security coordination meet at Yangangpokpi Company Operating Base (COB) on Tuesday.

The security forum was attended by Meira Paibis, Ward Councilors of local youth clubs and representatives of Yangangpokpi Police Station including its officer-in-charge.

As part of the security coordination meet, locals were updated on current security situation existing in the area of responsibility. There was also interaction carried out on necessary measures to be undertaken for maintaining strict vigil against illicit activities in the area. In addition to the security agenda, the locals were also informed about the upcoming Army Recruitment Rally scheduled to be held at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium in Imphal from October 10 to 18. Emphasis was laid on the modalities of online registration facility at the Unit headquarters and pre-recruitment training at the COBs.

As part of the forum, there was also interaction on future action plan in respect of civic action projects like medical camps.
