State leaders shower New Year greetings

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, December 31, 2019: Manipur governor Najma Heptulla, chief minister N. Biren Singh and ministers have showered New Year greetings to the people of Manipur.
“I am indeed happy to wish all of you a “happy, fruitful and prosperous New Year”. May the coming span of twelve months witness fulfillment of your fondest hopes and may you find success in all your ventures,” Heptulla said in her greetings.
“Let us start our journey into the New Year with confidence and optimism and with the clear perception that it would be necessary to muster all our mite to ensure that the National objective of growth with justice continues to be pursued relentlessly and that the unity and integrity of the nation are maintained at all costs. People of the state, as active and enthusiastic stake- holders in the endeavours to make our country strong and prosperous, will have to make every effort to translate the National objectives into reality within the time -frame we have set for ourselves,” she added.
“The start of a new year is always a time of reflection and contemplation. 2019 has been a year of progress and historical landmark for our state. Through our persistent efforts, the Inner Line Permit System has been extended to Manipur setting a new course in the history of Manipur. We made several inroads and made good progress in health, education, welfare and infrastructure sectors,” Biren said.
“As 2020 sets in, it is a time to celebrate with our loved ones. It also presents us an opportunity to shed off bad routines that have held us back in various spheres of life. I believe 2020 will be a year of renewed hope and confidence in our ability to face and overcome
challenges, as we continue to move on the road to greater progress. I wish everyone a very happy and prosperous New Year,” he added.
Ministers Th. Shyamkumar, Th. Biswajit, Karam Shyam and Nemcha Kipgen extended warm greetings and best wishes for a happy and prosperous new year that would witness peace and harmony and progress.
