Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 2020: In view of the outbreak of COVID-19 (Novel Corona virus) in India and around the world and in view of the advisory issued by the ministry of health, Government of India as well as by the department of health and family welfare, Government of Manipur, the Governor of Manipur has issued orders that the three Khwairamband Ima markets and Temporary Market at Imphal city shall be closed from March 21 till March 25, 2020.
The deputy commissioners of Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Kakching and Jiribam have also directed to ensure that the main women markets located at their respective district headquarters shall be closed down during the period, said the order issued on Friday.
The orders shall also include all kinds of street vendors, it added.
