Manipur CM launches website to reach out to Manipuris stranded outside the state

Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh on Sunday launched a website www.tengbang.in to reach out to the Manipuris stranded outside the state and require help to overcome various hardships in such difficult times due to the nationwide lockdown in wake of COVID-19 outbreak.

The website is also integrated with a payment gateway so that people who want to donate to the Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund (launched recently) can donate in online mode.

Biren launched the website at his secretariat, here.

He said, “The website is launched to reach out our brothers and sisters who are stranded outside the state and require help to overcome various hardships in this difficult time due to spread of COVID-19 virus and the nation-wide lockdown.”

Through this website the details of persons needing help will be available principle secretary and resident commissioner at New Delhi, PK Singh. He will provide all possible help and assistance, he added.

In line with the Prime Minister’s advice to maximise digital payment as a means of reducing the spread of COVID-19 which is integrated with the payment gateway, so that persons who wish to donate to the Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund can donate in the online mode, Biren said.

He said his government is ready to launch a mobile app in the version of tengbang.

“We are also thinking of adding a feature for permanent persons of Manipur origin residing in metros to volunteer to add as nodal point for the state government in assisting the state government to further increase the reach of the government,” he added.
