Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 30, 2020: Manipur home department has instructed all deputy commissioners and sub-duvisional officers to remain at their respective Headquarters and shall not leave their area of jurisdiction without the prior approval of the shief secretary.
The instruction was made on Monday in view of the nationwide 21 days lockdown ordered by the Government of India on March while ensuring transportation and availability of essential goads.
It is imperative that the district administration is fully functional at the field level to regulate, coordinate various activities, said an official notice of the department.
All deputy commissioners and sub-divisional officers are to report compliance by March positively. Failure to comply will invite action under Section 56 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the notice mentioned.
