437 lockdown violators detained


Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 2, 2020: In Manipur, 437 Covid-19 related lockdown violators were detained along with 389 vehicles by state police on Wednesday at different districts.

ADGP (LO) L. Kailun in a press release stated that the detained violators were produced before the Magistrates concerned and were imposed a sum of Rs 23,500 as fine.

He appealed to the general public to follow the advice and guidelines issued by the government and stay indoors for the safety of all.

State police will continue to strictly enforce the curfew and lockdown in the days to come, the senior police officer said.
