Manipur Police continues to crack down lockdown violators


Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 3, 2020: Manipur Police detained 523 violators along with 312 vehicles in continuation of crack down of violators of lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the state.

The detained indivisuals were produced before the Magistrate and fines of Rs 31.500 was collected.

The police department appeals to the public to follow the advice and guidelines issued by the government and stay indoors for their own safety and safety of the public.

Those who came to purchase essential items are requested not to use vehicle and to maintain social distances. The Police Department will continue to enforce strictly the lockdown/ curfew in the days to come, ADGP L. Kailun said.
