433 lockdown violators detained, fines imposed

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 11, 2020: Manipur Police continued to crack down on violators of Lockdown/ curfew to prevent the spread of Covif-19 in the state.

During the drive on Saturday, 433 violators were detained along with 349 vehicles. They were produced before the concerned Magistrates and a sum of Rs 40,100 was imposed as fines.

The police department appeals to the public to follow the guidelines issued by the government and stay indoors for their own safety and safety of the public. The police department will continue to enforced strictly the lockdown/ curfew in the days to come, ADGP L. Kailun said.

In Thoubal district 220 violators of curfew  and lockdown were detained 190 vehicles and imposed fine of a sum of rupees 23,800.
