PDS rice lifting continues under PMKAY for public distribution

Imphal, April 12, 2020: To ensure that the people of the State are provided uninterrupted supply of foodgrains especially rice, the State Government is distributing PDS items to every household in all the districts of Manipur under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana(PMKAY) on the backdrop of the outbreak of COVID-19 and lockdown in the State.

For Kundrakpam AC in Imphal East District, 757.3256 quintal of rice was lifted and 229.6520 quintal of rice was lifted for Khurai AC from FCI Godown. As on 11th April, 2020, for Heingang AC, 1890.05 quintal of rice was lifted under PMKAY.

In Thoubal District today, 1.25 quintal rice was issued to NIRMA, Sangaiyumpham and 25 quintal issued to Public Grievance Cell, Liling & volunteers under Open Market Sales Scheme (OMSS).

A total of 18824 Households/Families were covered today and 3402.60 quintal of rice was provided under PMGKAY for Imphal West District. Under OMSS, 195.75 quintal of rice was provided today to 2123 Households/Families for the district.

For Lamsang AC, 222.95 quintal of rice under PMGKAY was lifted today for Khulem Leikai, 182.55 quintal of rice for Khonghampat Mayai Leikai, 167.70 quintal of rice for Ngariyanbam, 86.30 quintal of rice for Lamdeng Khunou, 131.70 quintal of rice for Taothong Ayungba, 124.20 quintal of rice for Mayanglanjing Taning, 102.55 quintal of rice for Maklang Leitong, 250.20 quintal of rice for Salam Mamang Leikai, 103.55 quintal of rice for Loitang Khullen, 181.80 quintal of rice for Sangaithel, 205.70 quintal of rice for Awang Khunou and 176.90 quintal of rice for Haorang Sabal.

For Patsoi AC, 195.2 quintal of rice under PMGKAY was lifted today for Takyel Khongbal Mayai Leikai, 42.45 quintal of rice for Moirang Hanuba, 76.55 quintal of rice for Langjing Makha Leikai, 85.75 quintal of rice for Langjing Achouba, 82.15 quintal of rice for Kolom Leikai, 178.75 quintal of rice for Tera Loukrakpam Leikai, 171.85 quintal of rice for Sadokpam Leikai, 77.25 quintal of rice for Yengkhom Leirak, 87.3 quintal of rice for Tera Lukram Leirak Mayai Leikai, 122.85 quintal of rice for Toubungkhok Mayai Leikai, 112.15 quintal of rice for Konthoujam Leikai.
