Manipur Police continues to crackdown on lockdown violators


Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 15, 2020: On Wednesday Manipuri Police has detained 946 lockdown/curfew violatorsalong with 683 vehicles in continuation of crackdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

They were produced before the concern Magistrates and Rs 1,12,060 was imposed as fines.

The state police department appeals to the public to follow the guidelines issued by the government and stay indoors for their own safety and safety of the public.

For those who are coming to purchase medicines/ grocery items on the days markets are open, they are requested to maintain social distancing. The police department will continue to enforced lockdown/curfew strictly in the days to come, ADGP L. Kailun said.
