Imphal, April 18: Manipur police department continued to crack down on violators of Lockdown/curfew and those who are not wearing face mask in public to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the state.
During the drive on Saturday, 580 violators were detained along with 347 vehicles. They were produced before the concern Magistrates and fines Rs 56,640 was imposed as fines.
The police department hereby warn those who do not wear face mask in public and those who violates the lockdown/curfew shall be dealt with strong legal action under National Disaster Management Act, 2005, ADGP L. Kailun said.
