Imphal: Manipur Governor Dr. Najma Heptulla and Chief Minister N. Biren Singh wish the people of Manipur on the occasion of Khongjom Day, 2020.
In her message to the people of Manipur, Governor said while paying homage to the heroes of Khongjom War and other fronts of Anglo-Manipuri War 1891, we must renew our vow to preserve and defend the sovereignty of our country. She appealed to forget the difference and re-dedicate in the task of nation building.
In his message to the people of Manipur, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said that the heroes of Manipur showed deep patriotism and bravery in the battle of Khongjom. He appealed to pay tribute to the heroes and pledge ourselves to be brave as they were and fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
