Imphal: Manipur police department on Tuesday detained 784 violators with 651 vehicles in different parts of the state and collected a sum of Rs 1,00,520.
A release signed by additional director general of police (L/O), L Kailun said Thoubal district police detained maximum number of lockdown violators as 205 with 224 vehicles and collected Rs 28,900 as fines. Bishnnupur district followed at second place detaining 149 lockdown violator.
Among the entire 16 districts seven districts–Tengnoupal, Churachandpur. Noney, Senapati, Kamjong, Pherzawl and Tamenglong did not have any report on detention of lockdown violators.
