Government helps more than 35 thousands stranded Manipuris

Imphal: Manipur government helped 35,357 (thirty five thousand three hundred and fifty seven) Manipuris who are stranded in other parts of the country due to national lockdown for COVID-19.

In a Facebook post on his official handle, Chief Minister, N. Biren Singh revealed the numbers of Manipuris who got assistance from the state government.

In his post, he said “Till Today Nearly Rs. 11.33 crores gave been donated to the CM COVID-19 Relief Fund, enabling us to assist @ Rs.2000 each, a total of (35357) thirty five thousands three hundred fifty seven Manipuris stranded outside the State, involving a total amount of over Rs. 7.07 crores. Thanks for your generous donations to the CM Covid-19 relief fund.” with an emoji of folded hands.
