Imphal: With the extension of India’s COVID-19 lockdown for another two weeks, governor of Manipur as Chairperson of State Executive Committee of State Disaster Management Authority on Sunday issued guidelines to be followed during the period with effect from May 4.
In public places, as per the guidelines, wearing of face cover/mask has now become compulsory and spitting will attract fine with punishments.
Marriages and funerals are now permitted but have to follow social distancing norms and maximum numbers of guests shall not be more than 50 for marriages and 20 for funerals/last rites.
All persons in charge of public places and transport shall ensure social distancing as per the guidelines and no organization/manager of public places shall allow gathering of 5 or more persons.
Shops selling liquor, paan, gutka, tobacco etc. are now allowed to open, however, social distancing norms have to be followed and not more than 5 persons are allowed to present at one time at the shop. But, consumption of liquor, paan, gutka, tobacco etc. in public places is not still permitted.
Wearing of face cover is compulsory in all work places and adequate stock of such face covers shall be made available. All persons in charge of work places shall ensure social distancing as per the guidelines issued by Ministry a Health & Family Welfare, both within the work places and in company transport.
Social distancing at work places should be ensured through adequate gaps between shifts, staggering the lunch breaks of staff etc.
Provisions of thermal screening, hand wash and sanitizer preferably with touch free mechanism will be made at all entry and exit points and common areas. In addition, sufficient quantities of hand wash and sanitizer shall be made available in the work places.
Frequent sanitization of entire workplace, common facilities and all points which come into humand contact e.g. door handles etc. shall be ensured, including between shifts.
Use of Arogya Setu shall be made mandatory for all employees, both private and public. It shall be the responsibility of the Head of the respective Organizations to ensure 100, coverage of this app among the employees. Large physical meetings are to be avoided.
Persons above 65 years of age, person with co-morbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years shall stay at home, except for meeting essential requirements and for health purposes.
