Markets to open from 6 am to 4 pm from Monday

Imphal: Markets in Manipur except for three Ima keithels, Nagamapal and Ngari Galli are now allowed to open from May 4, from 6 am to 4 pm. However, movement of public in between 6pm to 6 am on all days is still prohibited.

Governor of Manipur as Chairperson of State Executive Committee of State Disaster Management Authority on Sunday issued order to be followed during the period of two weeks extended national lockdown in the state with effect from May 4.

However, inter-State movement of individuals except for medical reasons or for activities as permitted by State Home Department, all schools, colleges, educational/training/coaching institutions etc. are still prohibited to function, but online/distance learning are permitted.

Opening of cinema halls, shopping malls, gymnasiums, sports complexes, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars and auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places, all social/ political/ sports/ entertainment/ academic/ cultural/ religious functions/ other gatherings are also still prohibited.

All religious places/places of worship will be closed for public and religious congregations are strictly prohibited.

All public transport including buses, taxis and auto rickshaws opening of barber shops, spas and salon are still not permitted.

All Government offices are allowed to function subject to attendance of 50 percent of employees who are below Under Secretary rank.

Now the private offices can start functioning with strict adherence to the social distancing norms.
