Imphal: Manipur police department, in continuation to crack down on violators of lockdown, not wearing face mask in public and not maintaining social distancing to prevent the spread of Covid-19, has on Monday collected a sum of Rs 67,150 as fines.
During the drive, 311 persons were detained and 477 vehicles were challaned for various violations, ADGP L. Kailun said.
The police department warns that hose who violates the lockdown/curfew shall be dealt with strong legal action under National Disaster Management Act, 2005.
