Arms and ammunitions recovered

Imphal:  A team of Imphal West district police commando has recovered arms and ammunitions from a fish farm located at Sekamijing Khoidumpat in Imphal West district on Friday.

The arm and ammunitions belong to proscribed militant outfit PREPAK-Pro, police source said.

The owner of the firm has been identified as one Mayanglambam Kumar alias Ningthi Singh, son of Mayanglambam Kulapi Singh of Kakching Ningthou Pareng, Kakching district.

He is a hard-core cadre of the prescribed outfit and presently based at Myanmar.

The recovered arms and ammunitions included one AK-56 rifle, one carbine machine gun with magazine, one point 303 modified rifles with magazine, one loose rifle barrel and two motor shells.

The arms and ammunitions have been seized and a case has been registered at Hiyanglam Police station.
